MEET RUMFORD JUNCTION

Rumford Junction is a Rhode Island based roots/ folk group featuring 2 guitarists/vocalists, accordion, fiddle, bass and drums.   During the pandemic of 2020, this group of neighbors from Rumford, Rhode Island, started playing music together on front lawns and porches as a way to entertain themselves and their neighbors.  In 2021 they started performing at nearby Hunts Mills, as a way to hone their skills and add another dimension to the monthly "Open House" events organized by the East Providence Historical Society.

 

​Since then they have played at several local farmers markets, breweries, bars and other venues around RI.   In 2024 they recorded their debut album, Tributaries, with nine original songs, inspired by some of the music they covered by artists such as Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, The Band, Jason Isbell, and more.
